Community Spotlight: Village of Kennedy 🌾
Nestled in southeastern Saskatchewan along Highway 48, the Village of Kennedy is more than just a place on the map — it’s a true community where people come together to live, grow and belong.
With local amenities like an elementary school, volunteer-run playschool, community rink, campground, and fire department, Kennedy demonstrates the power of small‐town spirit and collective action.
Here, neighbours don’t just live side-by-side — they support one another. From hosting events to maintaining shared spaces like the community hall and recreational facilities, Kennedy shows what happens when people choose to build relationships and invest in each other.

The Community Initiatives Fund’s (CIF) work and support reaches lands covered by Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10, the traditional lands of the Cree (Nêhiyawak; Nêhithawak; Nêhinawak), Dakota and Lakota (Sioux), Dene (Chipewyan), Nakota (Assiniboine), and Saulteaux (Nahkawininiwak) peoples, as well as homeland of the Métis. Today, these lands continue to be the shared Territory of many diverse peoples from near and far.
